Arrange top ups

With this easy online journey, you can arrange for a single contribution, or for regular contributions to the client’s account.

Key things to remember

Saving applications:

  • If you click ‘Save’, the application appears under Pending Applications from the main screen. You can resume or delete the application from there.

Single investments:

  • Single investments must meet the £1,200 minimum.

Adviser Zone journey

From the Adviser Zone dashboard:

Select ‘Go to Investor’

OR use the search bar at the top to search for the investor’s name

↓

Under ‘Active Wrappers’, select the wrapper you’d like to add the top up to

↓

From the green menu on the right, select ‘Top Up’

↓

The submission process

1. Choose a wrapper nickname

The wrapper nickname is optional but useful for telling multiples of the same product wrappers apart.

2. Choose investment types

Select from: Single, Regular, Transfer, or Re-registration

  • Bank transfer limits may require clients to send larger amounts in multiple payments. By selecting ‘Add Another Investment’ in stage 2, you can match the expected amounts to each payment, which helps us add the funds to the wrapper more quickly.

3. Select regular withdrawals

  • Regular withdrawals require a verified bank account.
  • For prospects: submit the application first, then add/verify the bank account under Investor Details after.

4. Select ongoing charges

Select from: None, an Amount or a Percentage

5a. Add assets

Select from: Cash only, Model Portfolio, Assets or there’s the option to select a default investment strategy

There’s an option within this page to use our ‘Analyse Assets’ tool to help.

5b. Choose if you want to use a default investment strategy

Select from: Yes or No

If no is selected, you will be asked to add an investment.

If yes is selected, the top up will be invested as per the default strategy.

If you don’t use the default investment strategy and select to invest into a model, the model will become the new default investment strategy, but this process will not rebalance existing funds.

If you select to use assets, you will be given the option to for the new investment strategy to become the default.

6. View your documents

What happens next

Once submitted, the top up will pull through to our technical team to process.

  • If it’s a single contribution, tell the client they can now do the bank transfer to the bank details provided in the payment instruction document.
  • If it’s a regular contribution and the client wasn’t present, the direct debit instruction needs to be completed and sent to us.
