How to:

Amend investor contact details

Did you know you can update this online? If you have user management permission, you can also maintain client Investor Zone access including resetting a password without the need to spend your time making extra calls.

Key things to remember

How to amend names:

  • Change of name (mistake, e.g. a spelling error) > send a copy of their certified ID via Secure Email
  • Change of name (marriage) > send a copy of their certified marriage certificate via Secure Email
  • Change of name (divorce) > send a copy of their certified decree absolute via Secure Email
  • Change of name (deed poll) > send a copy of their certified deed poll certificate via Secure Email

To amend other details:

  • Date of birth > send a copy of their certified ID via Secure Email
  • National Insurance number > contact us via Secure Email

Amending an investor’s email:

  • If the investor’s email is changed, they will get a new link for online access sent to their new email, which they will need to activate to avoid document charges.

Adviser Zone journey

From the Adviser Zone dashboard:

Select ‘Go to Investor’

OR use the search bar at the top to search for the investor’s name

Amending investor contact details

From the investor page:

1. Click ‘Maintenance’

2. Click ‘Investor Details’

3. Click ‘Amend Investor Details’

You can add or amend: Contact Number, Email Address and Postal Address

4. Once amended click ‘Save’

What happens next

Once the changes are saved, this will update immediately.
