How to:

Add a new client or prospect client and add a new wrapper

Did you know you can do this all online? With this smooth client onboarding process, you can add an investor and open a wrapper in minutes

Key things to remember

Saving applications:

  •  If you click save, the application appears under Pending Applications from the main screen. You can resume or delete the prospect from there.

SIPPs online are for over 18s:

  • Under 18 SIPPs can’t be done online.
  • Under documents, then secure literature, you’ll find an under 18 SIPP illustration request document, and an under 18s SIPP application document.

Single and regular investments:

  • Single investments must meet the £1,200 minimum.
  • Regular investments must meet the £50 p/m minimum or £600 p/a.

NINO:

  • This is optional at setup, but required before a client can be submitted fully, but the application can be saved to a prospect.

LEI requirement:

  • For companies or trusts investing in MiFID‑compliant assets, please enter the LEI in the first box of the application.

The submission process

1. Choose a wrapper nickname

The wrapper nickname is optional but useful for telling multiples of the same product wrappers apart.

2. Choose investment types

Select from: Single, Regular, or Re-registration

Bank transfer limits may require clients to send larger amounts in multiple payments. By selecting ‘Add Another Investment’ in stage 2, you can match the expected amounts to each payment, which helps us add the funds to the wrapper more quickly.

3. Select regular withdrawals

  • Regular withdrawals require a verified bank account.
  • For prospects: submit the application first, then add the bank account under Investor Details after. Regular withdrawals can then be added under Wrapper Details.

4. Select ongoing charges

Select from: None, Amount or Percentage

5. Add assets

Select from: Cash only, Model Portfolio or Assets

There’s an option within this page to use our ‘Analyse Assets’ tool to help.

6. View your documents

Document types:

  • Pre-sales illustration – This is an imago illustration.
  • Payment instructions – This document provides our bank details for single deposits.
  • Client Report – This is for your records, there’s no need to send this to us.
  • Application Summary – This is for your records, there’s no need to send this to us.
  • Direct Debit Instruction – This document is for the client to complete and send back to us.

Some documents are available after submission. You can find these in the client dashboard, under Documents. However, we recommend that you download the ones you need from this page.

What happens next

Once submitted the client will pull through to our technical teams, then will be available to view on Adviser Zone.

  • If it’s a single contribution, tell the client they can now do the bank transfer to the bank details provided in the payment instruction document.
  • If it’s a regular contribution and the client wasn’t present, the direct debit instruction needs to be completed and sent to us.

If you’ve selected yes to client online access, the client will be issued an Investor Zone login within 24 hours to the email address provided.  They need to activate this to avoid a documentation charge.
